Okay folks - I am not a collector (as I only have this 1 item) but I am curious to find out its history. It is a belt buckle, excellent quality - with the US & Irish flags crossed and it read Metroplitan Police, Erin Society. The back of the buckle is stamped Johnston Badge Co Malden Mass and on the bottom of the back is numbered 040. yes I do have pictures for anyone interested - please email me. I did find out that Johnston was sold in 1976 to another Badge manufacturer and that this badge in emblem refers to the Boston Mass department but at some point it was absorbed into the State Police.
